Well, I'm back again rambling about this thing we call "A Fine Mess". By the way, that was an interesting little debate about the guy that hawked a copy of "A Fine Mess" on e-bay. You know whenever I hear "E-Bay" I think somebody is speaking Pig Latin. Ixnay on the e-bay. Sorry...stupid right? "The Crash" is a breezy little acoustic driven song with lyrics that I didn't think lived up to Dave's usual high standard. "In My Own Way" did not seem to be a Baerwald song. I noticed in the booklet that this song was co-written with Will Sexton. I assume this is Charlie's brother (it sure looks like Charlie's bro in the illustration). I alway's wondered why the two guitar slinging Sexton bro's never made a record together. They came up in the same Texas scene that spawned the Vaughn brothers didn't they? Although quite a few years behind Jimmy and Stevie I'd guess. I have one other question here. On the "Hurly Burly" soundtrack in the liner notes they list Charlie Sexton was this actually Will? I was going to continue my vague musings but my girlfriend is requesting my attention so I'll continue later. I'll finish just by saying that "Why" seems like it could fit on a "Kiko" era Los Lobos album. Which is a good thing. I love Los Lobos.
