First my quote of the day and this is related to the posts about going off the deep end and suffering through lifes more trying times:
"In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed--but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they have brotherly love, five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did they produce? The cuckoo clock." --Graham Greene (from The Third Man)
Take from that what you will. It's great to hear that everything is moving forward and that things are hopping at the Palindrome. I wish you'd tell us a bit more about it as well. I'm real curious about what sort of songs Lars will be running by you. Are these his compositions? Or are these songs he's collected he thinks are suited to your style? I hope you are continuing to do some writing of your own and that it is possible a few new Baerwald songs could turn up on this new record. Thanks much though for making such an effort to keep us all informed. As for the songs I selected to make up a bowdlerized Fine Mess, I just thought those were the songs that were the most complete and ready to be assembled into a record. For the most part the others seem like unfinished business. Some real good ideas but in need of a bit more spit and polish. I hope I helped a little. Peace, Reg
