Icon a rather different Mess

Well I've been thinking quite a bit about the question of a possible order for an abridged Fine Mess, and while I think Reg's works incredibly well as a set, I have some other suggestions, as a foil to Reg's picks. I think that I tend to gravitate towards the more off-beat material, and because that's one of the main reasons I am drawn to David's music, I feel like a lot of that slightly-odd-but-extraordinarily-
beautiful material needs to be included on a public release. That being said, perhaps I overestimate the love of eclectic music in the general populace. But, all these things aside, here's the order that I liked the best while listening for these past few days:

1. Nothing's Gonna Bring Me Down
2. Daydreamer
3. Bozo Weirdo Wacko Creep
4. Bob Dylan Blues
5. Love #29
6. Smart in a Stupid Way
7. The Crash
8. The Only World I Know
9. Playground in the Park
10. In The Wild Wild West
11. Paddy Chayevsky's Dead
12. It's Hard to Give a Damn

There you have it, I suppose. As this message board has been accumulating some interesting quotes, I'd like to add another to the mix: "The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true." - James Branch Cabell. Well, enough said.
