Icon Live tree update and cover art contest

Hello all again. I just wanted to check up on the tree and see if there were any problems. I know that some leaves on the midwest branch are starting to get their CDs...so that's great. The Canadian branch should be starting real soon as their copy just went out to their main branch. There have been a couple of problems, though, nothing major. If anyone has any other questions or problems...please let me know.

As of now, there is no official cover art for this CD. To remedy that, I would like to have a little cover art contest. The rules are simple and are as follows -

1. Designs must be submitted to me no later than 11pm est. on Sunday April 23rd. 2000.
2. Designs must confirm to the regular CD jewel case dimensions - Front is 12cm wide x 12cm high (or 24cm wide x 12cm high folded in half). Back is 15cm wide x 11.7cm high with the flap being .6cm on both ends (the 15cm width includes the two .6cm flaps).
3. You can use any design software to create your design, but the finished product should be in jpg format with the printable dimensions stated above.
4. Designs should include date and location of show as well as the setlist. The show was recorded on 6-20-90 at the Bottom Line in NYC, NY. The set list is Welcome to the Boomtown, Liberty Lies, All Alone in the Big City, Good Times, Swallowed by the Cracks, Sirens in the City, Colette, Young Anymore, Stranger, All For You, Dance, Under Pressure (Better Not Drop That Football, Jim), Heroes, Aids and Armageddon. Any other information is strictly up to you (ie. the band's names, guest musician etc)

The designs will be judged by a select group and the winning design will be posted on or around April 30th. The winning designer will get an advanced copy of the NEXT live disc that will be treed later on this spring.

All submissions, questions, and comments for the contest can be emailed to me at [email protected]. When emailing about the contest (either with a submission or a question) please use "tree cover" as the subject.

Good luck.
Dan
