You might give Iris DeMent a listen. She's a great country/folk singer/writer with a lot to say. Her first two albums are excellent as well but I think her third album "The Way I Should" would be the most appreciated by Baerwald fans. One of the songs on there "Wasteland of the Free" would not have been out of place on "Triage".
