the main headquarters of our notorious Men In Black, the LAPD. I couldnt tell either, at first. I thought he was saying "PortaSan, Portasan", which I thought was kind of funny, too, as though he was a man who just HAD TO GO.
Another mostly unnoticed odditty... Throughout AIDS and Armageddon Bill and I chanted "So de wa nan desu? Do ii tashi mashte!" Which means loosely "What's going on here?
Absolutely nothing!" Later, to entertain ourselves, we added more chanting "Tony Hernandez? Has a funny moustache!" We sort of mixed the chanting into the tom toms, so theyre sort of invisible. Also buried in that track is a character named
Floyd Mutrux, a Reno casino cowboy and his three singing tumors. Floyd works at a nuclear waste reclamation center
just over the Nevada border, and has been developing some interesting mutations.
The screaming at the beginning of the Waiter is none other than the great Bill Bottrell. Someone from Mix Magazine was at the studio and we were trying to scare them. Boo!
