I recently picked up David Mead's debut album "The Luxury of Time." It is one of the best albums I have heard in a long time: he's got an incredible sense of harmony, cryptic but meaning-laden lyrics, enormous stylistic diversity, and a voice with more agility than almost anyone else out there. (You must pardon me for being a musical nerd, but anyone who can sing a song in which one phrase of the chorus has a two-octave range and make it sound effortless and pretty makes me jealous.)

I think that anyone who appreciates good solid songwriting will not be disappointed, though anyone hoping for dark or political stuff won't find it here. Lots of odd sorta kinda love songs.

Well, just had to throw in a suggestion...I really enjoy hearing what everyone out there listens to and recommends, and I hope this kind of stuff continues.
