I cannot tell you how pleased I am to read that so many people appreciate your music. I so love "Bedtime Stories" and "Boomtown" that I would go apoplectic every time Madonna would have a hit. Good Billboard (Magazine)real estate was being taken up by vacant lots. When will mediocrity have its come-uppance? In reading your messages to fans you would mention periods of trouble in your life. I wish you could share in some of the peace that your music gives to us. Your voice is so smooth and deep that if you close your eyes it's like floating on your back over the swells in a warm ocean. When you hear the music, you think back on the turbulent times that produced it. We remember the good memories it scored. The therapy bills averted by just singing along. My co-workers have diagnosed me with Musical Tourette's (sp?) Syndrome because almost anything can send me into song. Your songs come up quite often. I cannot tell you how often I thought of "Swallowed By the Cracks" when I was in L.A. "Living Alone Together" was an unwelcome, but reflexive, soundtrack for the relationship with my boyfriend, "She thought I was hero TEE,HEE,HEE" pops up with very little provocation. I have often thought that you were an under-appreciated artist, but I am glad that you have a solid core (and corps) of fans. But, remember, it is a privilege for us to have any access to you at all, so if people chide you about not responding to them, just figured you already paid your dues by creating such wonderful music and revealing so much of yourself in the process.
