David,
Just wanted to drop a line on here and say how happy I am to have been turned on to your music. About two years ago I was back home in Montana visiting my brother and he gave me a tape of Triage. He told me that it was right up my alley of musical tastes. Being the good brother I am I tossed it aside and didn't listen to it for about a year. In fact with my brothers thick northwestern accent I thought your name was David Bear Wolf. Figured you had to be a native american artist or something. Went out to the grand canyon with my family in June and stumbled accross the tape in my suitcase. After a couple of days of tourist crap I headed out with my walkman for a long hike in the woods. After taking a break I sat down on a fallen pine, smoked some herb and flipped in the tape. Wow! I was amazed at the complex music that flowed through my ears. I love music that has excellent muscianship joined by deep lyrics. Its a rare combination indeed. I listened to the tape over and over and now put you up in the ranks of my favorite artists, John Hiatt and Bruce Cockburn and Robbie Robertson. I am now doing my best to get my hands on some more or your material. Thanks for being a TRUE artist....
