Not at all...if you consider the truly `great` musicians, they either inspire a) total respect or b) the feeling that they're overrated. The main examples being Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed, Neil Young, Frank Zappa, John Lennon, Paul Simon etc etc etc. I saw the love-fest `Rolling Stone` ran on the memorial of John Lennon's death, and there were gushy quotes from the likes of Tom Petty and Drew Barrymore - but IMO Lennon was artistically dead by 1972. Everyone's different I suppose...
