Instrumental music is a different experience (not better or worse) but makes the human mind approach the music in a different way...creating it's own emotional responses.
What can I say...I agree...it's just that caring about what should be a single or not is pointless... I should get my kids to listen to instrumental music...they do have to listen to loads of classical music (and traditional Irish...which is instrumental to a high degree) and they never ask me which song should be a single...
