If any of you out there remotely like The Band,then I highly reccommend picking up the totally remastered,re-edited DVD of this legendary  concert. While soome might moan and groan that it was completely a vehicle for Robbie Robertson,who's writing muse was long gone,that's not exactly true. Robertson DOES get way more screen time but once the concert get's going with it's star studded guest artists the music reaches a frenzied climax with Robertson and Eric Clapton trading amazing solos during "Farther On Up The Road". Van Morrisons' "Caravan" shows Van the Man kicking his legs up like a Rockette,not something he is known for.After over 5 hours the set ends with arguably the best version of "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" drummer Levon Helm quotes.
A new 4 CD boxed set commemorating the 25th anniversary will be in stores very soon. It will be essential listening for appreciators of many genres of popular music.
