Well all I can say, now that I've calmed down a little, is that Nora Jones must be really something. BOTH shows at Club Soda during Jazz Fest in Montreal are SOLD OUT.
Daniel Lanois was also sold out, but he just opened another show at the SPECTRUM, July 2nd at 7pm. The SPECTRUM is a fine venue during Jazz Fest, and has a large Club atmosphere. You sit at tables and they serve you at your table; great sound and view. Order tix online from Spectrum, or Montreal Jazz Fest; NO...they don't "bend you over" like Ticketmaster; very fair and in Canadian Funds$.
If you've never been to the Fest...you should GO. Some of the outdoor events have thousands, tens of thousands and more people (I think the record was about 300,000 plus for Pat Metheny a few years ago); it's PEACEFUL, and friendly. No violence, just warm, loving party atmosphere. This year it's June 27-July 7th. Look up their web site Festival Internationale de Jazz de Montreal. It has EVERYTHING: Straight ahead Jazz,fusion, avant-garde, world music, folk music, and some blues.
