I'll try and take a different tact with my response.
For once I can agree with Kent...
Oh aye...
If terrorists want to have an open border to come swanning in and out of so Kent doesn't think he's caught up in a daily fascist conspiracy, then so be it. The hell with the safety of the majority, a few half-psychotic idealists don't like the idea of a tighter border control so here's to 7/11, 8/11, 9/11, 10/11, 12/11 etc etc etc
Since we don't know what the spirit of the law means and the fact that the government couldn't possibly defend us - let's just leave things exactly as they are and look surprised when the next wave of terror hits. The 1st ammendment is our coverall, in fact, the 1st ammendment can be applied to those people who seek the destruction of the country.
