: Kevin did not write it with David, and David didnt' say that. They did, in fact, record the demo - but that was after David had already written it and recorded it on piano only, on a microcassete. He wrote it for "Romeo and Juliet", and turned it in too late, and then Baz Luhrman used it for "Moulin Rouge" instead, thus deeming it ineligible for an Academy Award nomination.
