Actually, Kent, I've worked the presidential plane many times but never under the conditions of 9/11. I don't want to say exactly what those differences were but they were there. I have no reason to doubt that Bush was the man who left the class room in Fl and traveled by motorcade to the airport and departed for Offutt AFB. I have no reason to believe that a shell game was played on us all and he took to some underground railroad.

The politicians often ride corporate jets and we never know who might be aboard the aircraft in our sector. Heck, DB could be flying his Gulfstream through and I wouldn't have a clue.
You're right that the military does have airspace which we deligate to it for specific time periods but it's quite limited and mostly used for intercept operations and the like.
