If I were a betting man I'd place one on Trump being eliminated, probably quite spectacularly, in the second or early third year of his term by his closest backers--his own Praetorian Guard. And while one could be forgiven a degree of grim satisfaction in this, his assassination and martyrdom would provide the excuse for their final crackdown, in the time-worn irony of a king's assassins placing themselves on the throne they just emptied, while enjoying the tearful support of the dead king's followers. "It's easy to commit the perfect crime if you're in charge of the investigation."
