I'm not one to catastrophize, and no, Reg is surely not being spirited away to the Terrorism Confinement Center in Tecoluca, El Salvador. But given that Trump's absolute raison d'être is revenge upon those who he perceives as having done him wrong, one wonders, during Trump 2.0,  how many Americans will be unjustly persecuted for having the temerity to cross him over the years and decades. Targeting could encompass smears on right wing media, tax audits, criminal charges meant to drain the bank accounts of the accused, loss of government contracts, and far more sinister actions. We can only hope that the sycophants in his justice department are as inept as his national security team displayed on their Signal group chat. 

And please don't think I'm making light of the horror that is occurring at this very moment in El Salvador's prisons. The absence of due process, and the horror experienced by those being swept up in ICE raids, allows Trump and his cult countless orgasmic jolts of dopamine as they gleefully watch all those brown skin people being whisked away.
