Wow, blast from the past, Dan. I recall Tina Turner telling the story of that number she did with Mick and she did not know he was going to yank her skirt off. I think that is part of why she exits early. She's a trooper though and keeps singing skirtless when Mick does that.
I know that my dad made sure we videotaped the entire event. So, we had VHS tapes of the whole day. I remember people bringing people to our house to watch the tapes. A lot of the neighborhood guys brought friends over for months after to see the Led Zeppelin reunion. This was a big thing in the moment but we all mostly agreed watching it on the day that while it was fun to see them, they were not very good that day. Dire Straits, Queen, and Sting and several others were much more on than the Zeppelin guys.
I believe Jimmy's take on this was, they had about a half hour to an hour rehearsal and the drummers (Phil Collins and Tony Thompson) were a bit lost. More than that is going wrong here though. The video tapes of this we had are long gone now but thanks to YouTube, the underwhelming Zeppelin reunion still can be seen in its entirety.
