1000 is the number of FBI and the Information Management Division employees the Trump administration assigned to go through the Epstein files. 300,000 is the number of documents in the Epstein files.
Another number is 4, that is the number of times the 1000 employees were given new panicked instructions on how to deal with whatever they found in the files including how to flag and deal with each time Trump appeared in the Epstein files.
The process of reviewing and cataloging the files was said to be chaotic (no surprise, everything the Trump administration people do is chaotic) and there was said to be a massive amount of panic about what was in them. Each document reviewer had to make a spreadsheet that tracked references to Trump, page number and document his name appeared on and to turn that in at the end of each shift. Shifts ran between 24 to 48 hours per shift. They are said to have begun this process in March of 2025. Sounds like a lot of work.
According to leaks and reports, entire pages of the documents have been blacked out and redacted.
Epstein's brother has recently said that he knew what Trump and Epstein were up to all those years and that it was so horrific that if it had come out, it would have immediately ended Trump's bid for the presidency.
The "wonderful secrets" that Trump says he and Epstein shared were some really ugly stuff.
Again, there likely is a lot more to worry about in terms of how Trump is destroying our country and is going to do harm to our citizens and people around the world, but this is the story many of his supporters don't want to let go of. So, while it is a really horrible story to have to think about, it will be interesting to see how it comes back to bite Trump.
