Well, there are things happening that it is obvious they don't want the stink on them for because reelection gets more difficult.

The Epstein thing, the tariffs, and the Big, Beautiful Bill are debacles. He has made them follow his will on all of them, and they did so knowing it would harm their own constituents. Taking apart programs that worked, firing the experts and people that knew what they were doing in government to bring in flunkies with no experience that don't know what they are doing but do whatever Trump tells them is leading to epic blunder after epic blunder. 

Trump openly calling his own supporters idiots and that he does not want them any longer...interesting. 

Republicans are told to line up and support whatever he does. The wars he said he would end on day one, continue to rage. 

It has dawned on some MAGA folks that what they were told was a wild blizzard of lies. He will devour them to profit himself and his friends. You can't remove the taint once you start defending the things Trump wants them to defend. That stink is now wafting off of what was once the Republican party.

For me, it has been interesting to see what MAGA really cares about. The tariff impact and the Big Beautiful Bill impact will take a while to kick in. The Big Bill has supposedly timed the worst of what it will do to his voters until 2027, after the midterms. 

Oddly, the thing tripping things up is Epstein. Trump was buds with him for 15 years. He was at Jeffrey's homes all the time, 3 times a week or more. There is no closet big enough to contain all of their "wonderful secrets" and so those things will continue to fall out. The WSJ seems to be making sure of that.
