It's certainly been a difficult week here and the ripples will continue to spread for a very long time.
As well as being Gravy Day today, it is officially a 'National Day of Reflection' to honour the victims of the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach. This is to be followed by a day of mourning at a date to be announced.
There are calls for a Royal Commission and there will certainly be further crackdowns on gun ownership as followed the Port Arthur massacre nearly 30 years ago. Such attacks have been thankfully rare here which is why they are felt so profoundly when they do occur.
Hug returned.
