Well, the response to the trivia test was underwhelming to say the least. But, in the interest of leaving no loose ends, here are the answers:

1. One song from Bedtime Stories contains a line that closely resembles a line from one of Van Morrison's greatest songs? Name both songs.

Answer: Good Times contains the line "but until my foghorn blows I won't be going home" and Van's classic Into The Mystic contains the line " And you when when that foghorn blows you know I will be coming home".

2. What musician recorded on albums by DB and Aussie, Paul Kelly?

Note: Noted PK fanatic, Kevin in AZ is running for his CDs to check the liner notes.

Answer: Paulinho da Costa appeared on boomtown and Paul Kelly's album So Much Water So Close To Home.

3. What prominent rock critic rated boomtown an A minus and Bedtime Stories a bomb? Hint: Every decade he compiles 10 years worth of reviews and puts them in a book.

Answer: Village Voice reviewer Robert Christgau. How he failed to appreciate Bedtime Stories I know not, he's usually right-on with his reviews.

4. The New Book of Rock Lists by Dave Marsh and James Bernard references a list of 100 names. The names are listed in alphabetical order with DB at #3 between Eric Anderson #2 and Joan Baez #4. What does the list refer to and what noted rock critic assembled it?Note: neither Marsh nor Bernard put the list together.

Answer: The title of the list is "Greil Marcus Lists 100 New Dylans"

5. What "guest" of DB used to star in the soap opera "Guiding Light"?

And lastly, the question that even DB could not answer. The liner notes for A Fine Mess references Kristen Vigard as one of the "Guests". During the early 80's, Ms. Vigard starred on Guiding Light as Morgan Richards. Among the actors trying to woo her on the show were Kevin Bacon and John Wesley Shipp (who went on to star in The Flash). I know, it's far more information than you or anyone need know. I was obviously neglecting my undergraduate studies during this period.
