You've convinced me, Dan! And nice to see Tom Cruise departing from those macho, money-making roles... he's gotta be having some fun here! He may be human after all!
Random Stuff: Nice to see DB playing The Clash's Clampdown on his Instagram, even if it is the instrumental version. A song for our times, and all times! And doesn't DB look snazzy in those hats! The transition to writing suits him, literally, got that Tom Wolfe thing going, but far cooler by our guy! As long as DB refrains from the gentleman's walking cane, dapper cane, swagger stick! That would be pushing it! :)How about the story related to the Mossad attempting to install Ahmadinejad in a toppled Iran! I'd say it's beyond crazy but this same spy agency successfully pulled off the exploding, and castrating, blitzkrieg of the pagers!
Here's a quote everyone should ponder: " Do not speak unless you can improve the silence." I've seen this offered up with slightly different wording, by differing alleged authors. And I'd add "Do not post unless you can..." And I don't exempt Peter T. from the prohibition the quote contains!
Isn't the word "bowdlerize " simultaneously cool-sounding, but a generally bad practice to engage in... and it sounds like a hideous gastrointestinal affliction!
In my current reading rotation is Richard Dawkins " The God Delusion", available at fine bookstores everywhere. It contains the all-time greatest rant against Yahweh. I had the privilege of seeing the absolutely brilliant, utterly fearless, professor in Connecticut a while back. This will force you to go searching for your Funk and Wangnalls dictionary!
"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction-jealous and proud of it, a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak, a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser, a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.
"Lastly, and I'm sure you are pleased to read that, I offer up an absolutely essential Atlantic article that does a deep dive into America's, and the world's no doubt, decline in reading. I'd say you can also listen to the AI voice, but that would be, er, sadly ironic!

Oh yeah, one other thing, Reg, EEE, and all of you other good folks, WTF? It's not like you received a better offer from another message board. Who else would have you jokers!
Peter the T.
PS: I'll abandon the whole Peter the T. nonsense if you guys just show up, no need to even buy a drink at Dan's fine establishment, just come to check out the graffiti in the restroom! And there's a great jukebox here too, but you knew that!
