I can see both sides of the story, I suppose. But I know it was a rag-tag group of donkey riding rebels that ran the Russkies outta Afghanistan. Perhaps if the military gurus would approach the war on the same level as the Iraqis (and any of the hired goons crossing the borders to join in on the turkey shoot) they would have more success of flushing out the resistance.
