Is this an example of going too far for either MTV Janet Jackson et al. OR the FCC.
Again I'm just trying to understand the BruHaHa over this.
The FCC rules and regulations are different for broadcast stations, as opposed to cable, dish only venues like MTV or HBO. The fines the FCC is threatening extend not only to CBS but to all its affliliates. I'm wondering who CBS or the affiliates will sue if the FCC imposes the fines - MTV or Jackson.. I don't know how CBS can sue MTV as they're owned by Viacom. The whole affair seems like it was supposed to upstage the stupid 3 way kiss w/Bratney, Madonna and Whatserface. Since CBS cutaway from it as opposed to MTV I truly hope it will go away as it's unremarkable given the Panthers 2nd half rally. The game was way better than any of the other stuff, including the ads, IMHO.
