I work in an office with one other person. That person is my boss, the owner of the company. He’s an older gentleman in his early 70's.
For the most part we try to avoid politics. He's a big Rush Limbaugh fan (to the point that he gets the newsletter and ONLY will drink from his "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" mug & I have to listen to it due to our office structure)
We have had heated discussions in the past 3 years, never before that. He's 100% on board with the current situation.
I think we know how I feel about it.
Today I come into the office, and over the weekend he has put up a very visible 8 x 10 picture of a smiling GW and Lara Bush picture with the inscription that welcomes him as a charter member of the “grassroots” campaign to reelect Bush.
Great now a man whom I respect is introducing this element to my work place. I love my job and I really have a great respect for my boss.
Do I put the “Vote to Impeach” Bush information on the other side of that or do I shut up and see if he gloats??
As a citizen I know I have a right to speak out, but now I am put in the awkward position of confronting the boss or having this picture stare me down…..
He isn’t in yet so I don’t know how he meant this but I find it troubling that it has been put into play here, this way. Its one thing to have discussions it another thing to display something that suggests that this office and its employees support this administration.
