i don't think that too many people here are waving the Kerry flag terribly strongly. he's got [probably tepid but nonetheless tangible] support - for now - because he's the anti-Bu$h. he probably is a potted plant, but he ain't a shrub, and at the moment, that's most important.

i mean, did you really think that George W. Bu$h was The Shit when he won the nomination over a field that included McCain? i doubt it, but he became the candidate of the right, so you pulled the lever for him...and came to see all the missteps and gaffes, linguistically, politically, strategically, diplomatically, etc...yet for fear of having to admit error, are now in the sad position of trying to defend the overall indefensible.

i voted for Clinton in '92, and a year or three later found myself going, geez, what a lying sellout sack of shit. try it, it's respectable to do so.
