I was having a conversation today with some of my colleagues and the topic of "books that changed your life" came up. Some of us were able to name several books (mostly read in our teens and early twenties) that we felt had an influential impact on us or that changed the way we see the world. My three:
Hiroshima by John Hersey
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin
I'd be interested to hear some of the books that had some influence on you. If you're not a reader it's not too late to start.
