That was a good point.
Before going on a caveat - In no way whatsoever do I condone what happened to those four Americans. That was horrific. However, if our country is to actually win the so-called hearts and minds of the Iraqis, we need to keep somethings in mind.
First, for whatever reason, we must keep in mind that it was us who invaded their country.
Next, what if the abuse that was going on over in that prison was common knowledge to the Iraqi people? The Drudgereport is posting that the Pentagon signed off on some of the interrogation techniques. So the Iraqi people may have known about this for some time.
The other night on a round table conversation, an Arab reporter reminded the other panel members about the attack on the prison weeks ago. He said that the exact reason was unknown, however, it could have been to kill the women prisoners inside because death was better for them than what was going on inside.
I think Bush and his crowd are done...finally their arrogance has done the job for them.
