This war record thing is really getting sliced and diced now, isn't it?    One hard fact remains.  Kerry served, Bush didn't. 

Secondly, will their "war records" have any bearing on the final votes?  Doubt it.   People's minds are pretty much made up by now, I suspect.   The major issues which might sway fence-sitters will still be the War in Iraq and the economy.  The president does not control the economy, never has, but it always becomes an issue at election time.  This president has thrown us into a war, quite unnecessarily, I think, but his supporters feel that the war was inevitable.   I don't see how the candidates' Vietnam era records are going to change those issues.
