I have a great deal of respect for Sir Paul McCartney but MAN were some of those "Wings" songs dumb.
That "Open the door and let him in" song, if that's the title...is grating yet sticks in your head like sand burrs on socks.
"Band on the Run" also grates like the Bee Gees.
There's lots of stuff they did that I really like...I'm not sure what it is about these songs that makes my teeth itch.
Oh..."Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" is another one that just must have cause roars of laughter in the studio but probably never should have been released...but it got a HELL of a lot of airplay in the 70's so someone must like it.
I hope he's not reading this because it's definately not stuff I'd ever say to his face...and he's a heckuvalot more important to the music world than I'll ever be.
But MAN those songs are horrible.
