PJ sneered: "caligula asked, with a puzzled look on his face... >>Vanguardists: Huh? These are a portion of the left in America who still think Communism is a viable alternative. These people are leading the vanguard to a halcyon morning where all men will be equal. These are the people who used to tell us all we needed was love and now they own the bank. Their prediliction for high taxes doesn't come from wanting to create a Nanny state, it comes from the arrogant opinion that they deserve the money of the citizenry to piss away as they see fit."

Caligula chortles in return: Communism? Youre worried about the tatters of the American far left? That is indeed rich. You've just made my morning.

PJ continues his parroting: If you were to read the essays of my Uncle (David Horowitz) (Caligula has, and finds them hilarious) he makes a pretty compelling argument as to why the new wave of dissenters are nothing more than a shower of pathetic Seeger-throwbacks.

Caligula would respond to that statement if there were anything in it to respond to. To blithely tar the variegated mob of "new wave dissenters" with a single brush would imply a great deal more agreement and organization among them than they deserve. For instance, Caligula's disgust stems primarily from his awareness that global oil production is about to peak--some time within the next ten years, by the most optimistic standards, and his awareness that without a massive, sincere and concerted effort on the part of an administration towards energy alternatives and conservancy that the resulting wars and economic collapses will ensure a season of death and misery that will almost certainly lead this planet into a darker version of the dark ages within two decades. Other "pathetic Seeger-throwbacks" show concern for reproductive rights, for institutionalised racial intolerances. Other "pathetic Seeger-throwbacks" show dismay at the flight of capital out of the middle class, from their sound economic understanding that a society's economy depends on the middle class' ability to spend and to invest in their neighbotrhoods. Other "pathetic Seeger throwbacks" have other concerns, too various to list.

PJ continues his garbled Limbaughry: Please stop breaking the tablets in half, PJOH

Caligula responds: How else can I swallow them?

PJ fires again

PS: - Where were you when the former administration were murdering undesirables down in Waco and Ruby Ridge?

Caligula was screaming bloody murder, and crying tears of shame.

PJ continues on a tediously half-baked line: Those acts (along with IRS audits of political opponents) do, in my opinion, undergird the theory of Vanguardism.

Caligula queries in astonishment: So Janet Reno is a communist?

PJ continues: They seem to owe more to Stalin than Truman.

Caligula replies: Or J. Edgar Hoover, that other notorious communist.

PJ drones on: But as long as your 401k looked healthy and there wasn't a Republican in the big house, who gives a shit about what the government does ;-) I salute the basic integrity you've probably never had.

Caligula replies: Your knowledge of my doings is on a par with your grammar, originality and spelling. Now back to the orgy.
