Dan (and everyone else):
What my comment specifically referred to is private correspondance that I sent to David, directly to his home in Austin. Dated October 20, 2002, this correspondance should have been received by now.
I enclosed my private e-mail address in that letter, and thus far --- I have not received either a reply, or even an acknowledgement that it was received and/or read.
Considering the reason I sent it was in response to comments David made on the site about myself (that I am misguided), and David Icke (that he has a cult-like personality and is demagogic), an extremely important researcher whom I have been trying to share with everyone here. What was especially disturbing to me was when I learned that Mr. Baerwald made his comments without ever having read even a single page of David Icke's writing --- I considered that to be highly insulting.
I am still waiting for some kind of response to the letter I sent, which more than explained my position, and why I am doing what I am doing.
Also, I thought it was more than a little bogus that when HCTNFU came out, I purchased 27 copies, and gave them to literally everyone I know. Adding to that five additional copies of BOOMTOWN, and the fifty sets of AFM that I burned for friends and friends of friends --- after his knowing about this, I have as of yet, received no personal thank you or acknowledgement for spending a tremendous amount of time and money spreading the word about Baerwald's music, from the man himself.
I mention this not for the purpose of complements or kudos, but simply, because I wanted to show everyone (including DB himself) just what a huge supporter I was. All I got in response from people here, was complaints that I was patting myself on the back a bit too much. However, my initial intention was to encourage some people here to buy extra copies like I did, and push DB's CD onto the charts --- something it never did. The NFU CD never even made it onto the Billboard charts, that's how much of a bomb it was.
Considering the fact that HCTNFU sold under 10,000 copies at retail, it appears the true reason why David's music appears to be "unmarketable" is due to the actions of the man himself. If I were the artist, I would have at least acknowledged and thanked the person who spent all that time and money spreading around word of my music.
But instead of a brief word of thanks, all I received for my troubles, was his statement that I am misguided. Also, the fact that he made very negative comments about David Icke without reading one single page of the man's writing, was also extremely upsetting to me.
A low blow, to be sure . . .

P.S. --- David, if you are reading this, I am still awaiting your private reponse to my letter.
