personally I think that whether there was any truth in the memos or not is irrelevant. What CBS producers (and DR) did was unethical and they should be held accountable. Simple as that.
They are supposed to be professionals after all, unlike the bloggers sitting around in their living rooms in pajamas that fact checked their asses. Rather has a research staff that should have had those memos covered 10 ways to Sunday.
