Freedy is great! I am fortunate to get to see him a couple of times a year. He records at Smart Studios (in Madison), and is in tight with the boys from Garbage. In fact, Freedy, Duke Erickson and Butch Vig play together in a deliberately bad cover band called the KIAB (Know-It-All-Boyfriends). They usually stink up the Cafe Montmartre a couple times year - always before a packed house. Last time, Freedy wore a bad mullett wig over his nearly bald dome. He is one of those guys that just loves playing, and it comes through everytime he performs.
I'm not sure if I have that particular album among the four or so I do have, but I will keep an eye out for it.
Freedy and DB actually played a gig together 10-15 years ago, and FJ remembered it. Some compilation of rarities out there has tracks from each of them on it, but so far it has eluded my grasp. DanO prolly has it.
