Al, I get yer gist, and everyone, the joke on welfare and the black community is quite old! Personally, growing up in the wonderful, beautiful backward ass, state of (NW) Indiana, where the divide between black and white was as thick as the deep south, I saw and confronted racism almost daily. I went to a catholic church and school (12 fecking years!) and I'll never forget coming out of church on Sundays to hear fellow members bitch about them "n word" moving into our neighborhoods. Or the fact that fellow students were involved in the Klan.

(Present day) Me being a fag, poof, mariposa, homo, whatever you want to call it, still get quite a chuckle out of making fun of other gay men and women. I guess we tend to make fun of our own fears and least desires, no? I have no problem, as long as it is done with no hate or judgmental ignorance. But sometimes it still hurts! Because of those ugly words directed at black people when I was so young and then as I got older, hateful and ignorant words were directed at me, because I was different. I've bitched in the past about this topic and I'm sorry to have to do it yet again, but if your trying pull the wool over on me; and tell me that the joke was not implied towards black people, you are as ignorant as the message in the joke.
