Check on the fresh ground beans - although I might add freshly roasted ground beans. As to the distilled water - I think distilling takes out all of the things in water that coffee "sticks" to...and you're left with bland coffee. Filtered or otherwise pure spring water sure...but not distilled. Distillation is best done in a lab or in the back woods of West Virginia (or Kentucky).Dan
