This cartoon got me to reminiscing about the debates that raged here during the start of the war in March, 2003. In hindsight, it's interesting to review some of those archived posts. Some of us were pretty damn prescient about what was to unfold. Some of us, err, the Four Amigos, well, let's say they erred. And, given the dearth of amigos presently found here, I'd say they went the way of the "coalition" that Bush bribed, err, assembled. I just read one of Pat's posts wherein he questioned reporters for having the nerve to "second guess" Rummy and one of his toady generals. And I don't mean to pick on Pat, well, yeah, I guess I do mean to pick on Pat, as his fellow amigos obviously bid him adios and he's the only one remaining. Anyway, when time permits, stroll back to those glorious posts of yesteryear; you'll immediately sober up as you realize how dramatically things have declined in the intervening two years. Do you think the electorate in Ohio wished that congressional election was being held next week? Do you think the outcome would have been different? Time for Neil Young to write another song.
