Block, I think you'd be fine wandering about Northern Ireland. There is no animosity that I know of towards Yanks there, nor the same level of hatred for Bush there as in other countries. If there's one place where you can say they really love Americans it is Ireland. It would be better not to wander around suburbs of English towns where Muslims live in greater numbers though again one is pretty safe. I know a few weeks ago a young catholic was beaten to death in N Ireland just because...they were protestants he was not...it lingers and simmers but usually peaking in July 12th, that is when it is best not to be there...marching season an' all that crap
