Didn't much care for it actually..too confusing, and I was kinda sleepy when I saw it, which didn't help.  It did get great reviews, I understand.  I am not a big fan of Guy Pierce, his acting and persona, particularly in that film, did not do much for me.

But, the film director (sorry, don't remember his name) did another less known film which preceeded Momento called, "Following".  It is very suspenseful; uses some of the same "flashback" effects as Momento, but the story thread is much more clear. You might want to rent it. Large video stores usually have a copy.
