Hmmmmmm let's see....

Nirvana- Unplugged-The stripped down performance really showed how talented Cobain was with melody, lyrics and how good a vocalist he was when he wasn't screaming.

The Band-The Last Waltz- Robbie Robertson was becoming a real asshole by now but there's no denying how tight The Band was playing live. The all-star guests just make this concert that much better

Elton John-11/17/70-His debut performance in NYC playing as a trio with longtime bassist Dee Murray and drummer Nigel Olsson, young Reg tore the place up. The muscianship is incredible and hearing how he could belt out high notes back then is great. And he played mostly album tracks like Amoreena, and Bad Side of The Moon before the dreaded greatest hits only shows.

Live in Australia- I wish I could've seen one of these shows. Playing with The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra showed just how talented he is as a musician. Choosing lesser known tracks from his early albums was a great decision, and he was losing his voice which gave the songs even more emotion.

Elvis Presley-Tiger Man-This counts because the performance was recorded for the '68 TV special. Just Elvis and the boys playing his early hits. His voice is just so fuckin' good. Raw,powerful, then smooth and clear. Makes me realize that it all started with him. Too bad there was only the Memphis album and a handful of the earliest Vegas shows that captured him in top form.

Van Morrison-Too Late To Stop Now-Van can be hit or miss live. This album from 1973 has him at the peak of his powers. Hearing "Cyprus Avenue" alone is worth the price.

I'll go along with Live at Leeds, Live at The Apollo, and Hot August Night
