Okay, tell me what he said that I am not hearing ? I heard him say that you either get an education or you wind up in Iraq. I can find nothing in that statement that is an insult to our current brvae troups who are being used and thrown away like oil rags after some car maintainence. I can't even understand why democrats are jumping on the "trash Kerry" bandwagon.

Brave / Patriotic does not = educated

I know that doesn't apply across the board but sometimes I wonder about the upper crust as well.

I don't watch the mainstream media much but when I do, I can find just as much evidence to support the fact they are conservative as I can that they have a liberal bent. What I see is a media machine that does nothing but report whatever talking points that fall on their desk. That is why I go elsewhere to find real investigative journalism.

We have become a nation of sheep who live by the soundbyte and the people in washington won't or can't deliver anything else. Our "Leader" can't have a frank, intelligent fireside chat with the nation on any issue and actually disscuss the facts and history of anything but he can throw out sharp, one liners that rouse the emotions of people who don't study the issue at hand. The press has become the same thing. The ads for this election are the same because they have found that it WORKS because a large percentage of us are apparently stupid.

Today you hear Repubs and Demos alike say they either voted FOR THE WAR or they voted AGAINST THE WAR. They have forgotten, as has America that the vote in question was not FOR or AGAINST the war. The vote was whether or not to hand the power of congress over to a "leader" who they thought might use that power wisely. They were wrong.

As I already stated, the adminstration has abandoned the middle class and below, these people become desperate for a way out and choosing to try to do rightly, they turn to serve their country. There's nothing false about that, there's nothing shameful about that but they wind up being "left behind" still.
