Ah, …that wonderful twisted chemical resource

to placate/alleviate/abbreviate all human resources

either directly or through second handed contact, that

maybe takes it’s inspiration form a T. S. Eliot quote:

“Humankind cannot bear very much reality.”

FWIW, I wrote an angry ditty back when

Reagan’s right hand man was playing him,

Weak straight like the nut straight flush, into

some of the biggest kitties of those cold ass days

Don’t have even a hair of a clue what…kink of

Fiction it is…to think any of this is reality based,

…just toying with dark notions viewed willingly; an

artist theory of story bound factoid? on 35mm film:

Power Play

Tell me a story of a weapons supply

Who said…it’s necessary to the allies?

In front of everyone you talk of world peace

The TV set will not disclose your disease

Fair trade.  Snow for the heat.

War play. Prey on defeat.

…Power game….

A fine man with a gun at his side

He has a mission and he’s swallowed his pride

His bosom buddies are two good guys

Another slipped in the snow…& he died

Bigmouth plays in the snow today

The rebels fight and the working-man pay

In the fields the bombs do burst

(Spotlight on!)

Fine man is set for the worst

[chorus]

We are the patriot, we die and believe

And mama/papa…are the truly deceived

When bigmouth money goes kaboom!

The profits grow while snow fills the room

The statistician reads words in the mic

He talks of brotherhood, good-will for a fight

The camera’s on…recording the scene

People viewing say, “American…Dream”

Fair trade.  Snow for the heat.

War play.  Prey on defeat.

Power game.

but I was just a kid then.  odd fond memories of barracks life

and the lengthy hitchhike to Indy still fresh.  and I suppose often

fiction doesn’t reveal truth that reality obscures…or maybe truth

isn’t stranger than fiction.  Thanks anyway, Ralph Waldo & mighty

Mark Twain, bet you cats were right more often than not in your day .
