When it comes to end of life issues.. (ie natural end of life), pet
animals in this country often fare better than humans. At least
they can be put to sleep. Very few of us will get that option, and
the end can be very nasty, painful and protracted for many of us.
Is there any country in the world where euthanasia is legal
and..practiced? Holland was...but I don't know if the current
government still permits this to occur without significant
roadblocks. Here, I was counting on Oregon, but federal laws
have made it essentially illegal there as well. I must somehow find a way to hook up an IV, say good-bye and
drift off to sleep if I am aware enough to know the "moment" has
come.
