Well, Hoffman was good at everything, he was just as good doing comedy as he was drama. DeNiro seems to use his reputation and history in film as part of what makes his comedy roles funny...meaning a lot of his shit is just supposed to be funny because it's Robert DeNiro doing it. I don't much dig that and it gets old fast but he seems to be making a living off it lately. King of Comedy was DeNiro's best comedy I think. By the way has anybody seen a film called Grand Theft Parsons, the story seems interesting (based on what happened to Gram Parsons body after his death) but it looks like it's cast and set up like a teen comedy. Just wondering if I should bother watching it...
