Never underestimate the power of crap in your compost pile.
My brother brought back some horse shit from a Friend's farm and buried it in the pile (so the smell wouldn't disturb the neighbors, inner ring suburb & all). Well the organisms grew and spread, and they reduced a 10'x6'x4' pile of leaves, twigs & grass clippings, along with the remains of the previous year's garden to the most beautiful, robust compost you have ever seen in about three months time (that's about double time for an 'unadulterated' pile) Gonna have to have him bring some more this year. last years leaves haven't really budged. Wonder if Willie still has those Llama's?
