Yeah, the Dominionists did it in. Christians will argue this point, faith being a personal thing that people claim ownership of- "my faith" - and present it as a part of them. The sad fact is Christianity, in the same way Osama and his boys use Islamic jihad, is now a weapon and not a religion. I agree with you, David, 100%! Give them a piece of desert and set them upon one another. Man has no need of fundamentalists of any stripe.

Would they join forces? Maybe, they do, as you say, have more in common than they have to separate them. I tend to think they would slaughter each other though, only because they have shown time and time again that they are the most bloodthirsty, nasty, blind and deaf bunch of crazed motherfuckers walking the planet right now. So be it. If they want to kill each other they should be allowed to do so but leave the rest of us the fuck out of it.

It's sad that this country was founded upon the principle of letting people practice (or not practice) the religion of their choice and that good intention has been turned against us. Soldiers of God, Warriors of Christ, the Taliban, al qaeda, they are all one and the same and they are the enemies of the sane and peaceful majority of this blue green globe. We all remember what they say about the road to hell though, right?

Nobody wants to lead us into hell like a Christian fundamentalist or an Islamic Jihadist. We are pussies to them. Weak in the eyes of their Gods in more ways than we can count. They scream "Bring it on!" just like Dubya did because hell on earth means we get closer to God. In their visions Jesus wields his sword and the slaughter of infidels is all in the glory of god! Doesn't matter if they are dropping bombs from planes or slamming planes into buildings, they are doing God's work! They want to see the bloodshed, the destruction, something glorious and dark right outta Revelations.

Their books lead them they say. The bible teaches them Jesus brings a sword not peace. The Koran teaches to die slaughtering infidels is the most glorious death of all. Rewards for all who hear and understand this word of God, eternal punishment for those who do not.

What of the sane men and women who say love thy brother and sisters, blessed are the peacemakers, that believe that jihad is the struggle to live in God and improve one self and society...fuck them they don't know Jesus or Allah. When Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount he was having an off day. They like their Jesus on horseback sword held high or reigning terror on those grubby money changers.

God against nature, nature against God, man against nature, nature against man, God against man, man against God. The way they read the bible is designed to rip mankind to shreds. It's a fight the whole way through. They don't understand the book and that lack of understanding, the heat of standing too close to the divine flame, drives them mad. So we get the Dominionsits, the Jihadists, vicious bloodthirsty demons that exist to destroy. They see evil lurking everywhere, ready to pounce, and powers always aligned against them.

Who could live like this and remain sane?
