Right on!! Let the REAL Beach Boy fans and up and take a bow for knowing their stuff. I couldn't agree with you more about I Just Wasn't Made For These Times, pretty strong stuff, but all you have to do is listen to the lyrics and it's pretty straight forward from there.

Imagination was disappointing with the exception of "Lay Down Burden" for Carl. It seemed like Joe Thomas was nearly as devious as Dr. Landy was manipulating Brian. The tour with The Wondermints was cool in the sense he was stable and healthy enough to tour, did some great work vocally and even strapped on the 'ol Fender bass for a few tunes (I'm not sure if it was plugged in though)

I saw the gig in Seattle and hearing Pet Sounds from "Wouldn't It Be Nice" to the taped fade out of Brians dogs barking like on the album was something I never, ever imagined I would be a part of. There were times when Brian would conduct the orchestra himself during "Let's Go Away For Awhile" and it was surreal.

Regarding Dennis I think "Pacific Ocean Blue" could very arguably be of the mid-70's hidden gems. Sounding like the Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac and even that swampy Little Feat sound. Dennis' masterpiece simply was overlooked. I have a poor quality copy of Bamboo and again overlooked and then before we knew what a diamond in the rough Dennis truly was he was gone.
