"…all my fellow citizens seem to be just peachy with that…"

No, in fact I think that is not true. In fact I think most of them think it all stinks.

Why did I vote for Obama yesterday? Mainly it was a vote against Hillary Clinton and I think it is important to stop her. I believe in fighting in any and all ways that I can...there is no stay home or give up in me, Bear. My vote, small as it may be, is part of the fight, my right as an American, and will say something even if it's not the shot heard round the world.

So yesterday I voted against something rather than for something...is there a difference?

My vote did not change the outcome, Hillary still won but I didn't stay home and do nothing. I went out and cast a vote against her and a vote against corruption and dirty politics. I don't believe in those things and that's what my vote said.

I don't think you should quit Bear, I don't think you should just stay home. I do think that the powers that be enjoy the thought of you feeling that way and would love if people stayed home. The people who belong to the parties would see that as leaving things up to them and that's how they want it.

HELPLESS...if they can make you feel that they win. GIVE UP...please do they'd say. NOTHING YOU SAY OR DO MATTERS...slam dunk, let's have a parade they would shout if they thought you believed that.

Your words, your rants, your raves...they do matter and words have changed the world more than once and words that inspire people, inspire action, they are priceless and a gift.

It's hard to inspire people now because we are more cynical, more weary, more beaten down, more cautious, more suspicious, more filled with doubt and fear...we wait to be ripped off and fooled again...

There is hope though and I do think this election, as shitty as so much of it is, is proving that. Everybody is disgusted, everybody does not like what they see, everybody is reaching for a lifeline...and all the pushing and pulling us apart has somehow brought us all to the same place at the same time...

It's about what we do next not about what has been done...
